IN THE SPIRIT OF JIMMY SLYDE Roxane Butterfly (Barcelona/New York) tap Jussi Lindroos (Turku) tap Xumo Nunjo musician In the Spirit of Jimmy Slyde - lecture & video demonstration 18.45-19.45, Tanssiteatteri Eri Roxane Butterfly (New York/Barcelona) takes us to the legendary tap jams at La Clave and tells us about the Jimmy Slyde she knew. Slyde, alias James Titus Godbolt, performed with such greats as Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Loius Armstrong during the Big band era. Slyde was know for his musically sophisticathed bebop dancing and his ability to glide over the stage effortlessly. The lecture is held in English.
